Monsoon

The season of monsoon
Is a farmer’s fortune
The season of monsoon
Is the guest of June.

Is the monsoon -
A curse or a boon?
Latter in the noon
You want it to come soon.

Sometimes it’s a curse
When we get it surplus
Watch out for the falls
Or we all will be fools.

It is a boon to the world
Without it we all will be dead
Sometimes it is bad
But we are not that sad.

The season of monsoon
Is nothing but a boon,
A farmer’s fortune,
And the guest of June.

It seems this is ur first attempt at poetry if im not mistaken.

Frankly, u need to refine the language part a bit. Its not necessary that all lines in your poem should rhyme. It seems that youve tried hard to make alll lines rhyme , but in the process youve compromised on essence and meaning.

Plz take it constructively. Im sure you can do better.

Keep writing.Dont lose hope
